Well. We can at least do our best to take care of her, or at least as much as she'll allow. Probably... you could talk to Mercury, to ask after Hurricane.
...it's absolutely a stupid impulse, but part of me wants another crack at it to see if I could do better. I wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with that, though.
[ probably, at some point, shrike texted you to tell you she was going to take some memories in a quiet, low-traffic place.
maybe for some reason you happened to be over there anyway? if you got this link you can feel free to have just happened to be around for reasons of it's more fun. but.
she shuffles through a few relatively innocuous ones. Then there's one that gets her a little choked up—she, with some of her cohort under the Walker in Darkness, encounter a Raksha envoy—who happens to be Lark Sings at Dawn, who calls Shrike by her original name and when Shrike reflexively responds, her skin cracks open with renewed wounds from all her scars.
her allies quietly discuss if they should kill the envoy, whether it's worth starting shit with the Raksha (Crow is among them; he says absolutely worth), but meanwhile Shrike is losing her shit quietly inside over the fact that Lark is alive.
that night she goes to Lark and tells her that they have to run, but that they can do it together, and to never call her that name again—and Lark says yes.
that's clearly a lot, but she's still fishing for something, and—
[Crow watches from a nearby roof -- he was out exploring the city when he caught the sound of his own voice and hopped over to what was up.
--oh, the Raksha. Telling the Walker the news about Rain skipping town with an old friend had not been fun, even if the Walker had probably already known.
the next one is...weird, for him to watch. it's just weird, watching Kestrel die; it's not really satisfying, the way watching Rain eat shit would be, and it's not really sad, because obviously Kestrel didn't really die and his connection to those old memories is muffled at the best of times. it's just. weird.]
Man, you never did tell me how you fucking died. You got the personal touch, huh?

Ah—you know, I don't really know?
Wednesday showed me a little dancing, of the kind that she does, and I'm not sure I'm cut out for it, but it seems there's all kinds.
—are you asking me to dance?
Re: cobalt
Re: cobalt
You know, I think I would? You might have to show me how you're used to dancing, though.

Betrayal Endgame - Sekhmet
Ah, that makes sense...
Well. We can at least do our best to take care of her, or at least as much as she'll allow. Probably... you could talk to Mercury, to ask after Hurricane.

Re: Betrayal Endgame - Sekhmet
He's older than the rest, and... seems like a friendly, responsible sort of person. He's about my height, bright hair.
Re: Betrayal Endgame - Sekhmet
Hmm, alright. I'll talk to him.

Betrayal Endgame - Wednesday
It's not—the wrong thing to say, honestly, I promise you.
But—thank you. I want to believe that I can stay the kind of person that I'm... trying to be, anyway, now.
...just make sure you believe that about yourself, too.
Betrayal Endgame - Persephone
[ she takes a deep breath, and relaxes a little. ]
It just still felt too... easy. Comfortable.
Re: Betrayal Endgame - Persephone
But that does not, ah, mean that all the work, all the effort, you have put into things means nothing.
