It's not what I'd usually call fun. Takes a lot to not overreact in this particular rivalry.

Well, it's not as if it's never fraught. I know it's not been easy for you, and I'm sort of, er—well, it's not as if I've been great about it, either since I sort of... uhhhh started learning how to experience jealousy at a really inconvenient time.

But it's the sort of thing where—it makes me happy to see the people and things that make him happy. And—he's got enough heart for the both of us.

I think I mostly got by before by not really having expectations or opinions?

It's just everyone here told me that I should probably actually have those, and they were right, but, you know, work in progress.

Kind of pesky. I recommend not having them, personally. Overblown.

Though it gets kind of awkward when people ask me what I like or what I want and no one's willing to tell me like my mother would.

I don't know, though. I tend to think people who have them are a bit cool.

If they can pull them off. I just feel it in my gut that it's a bad feeling when they're not met.
