SHRIKE ON KESTREL: She is not sure Kestrel is all there, and wonders if she might be having some kind of like... reincarnation/past life weirdness going on just because that's come up for the Exalted crew recently, which dovetails weirdly well, but also: kestrel is just her daughter now, APPARENTLY, and she's going to try and do as good as she can with that

SHRIKE ON HIRYUU: She doesn't know Hiryuu all that well apart from the Hellventure, which was admittedly a hell of a way to get to know someone; she thinks she's a nice person and that she has quite a bit to recommend her, though, from that experience!
