...I guess we haven't really spoken at length since my first day here, but that was a good welcome.

I'm glad. I figure, newbies got enough to worry about without worrying about what the welcome wagon's gonna be like.

Ah, I don't mind—although, um, fair warning that my card is really... difficult, as far as who I can ask for a lot of them, so I don't necessarily expect any guarantees.

Though, I don't know if you could think of a decent way to be buried that's not... literally underground.

[Thinks for a sec, then tugs her toward the costumes.]

[ she follows along. ]

[Flushes a little, pleased, and ducks his head.]

I mean. No promises it'll work. But it's worth a shot, yeah?

[He slows to a stop when they reach the clothes.]

...okay. You're probly gonna have to sit down, I think. Or lay down.

Ah, all right!

[ she dutifully lies down next to the clothing racks, in approximately a corpse pose. ]

[Just pulls a bunch of stuff down off the racks and starts dumping clothes on her. When everything's done by the head, he hesitates a second.]

I'm gonna cover your face for a sec, okay?

[softlyfalling]

Ah, that's all right, it's fine.

[ she closes her eyes and mouth, though, so that she doesn't like, get an eyeball full of fabric. ]

[Adds one more shirt.]

...okay. Completed buried.

[ she levers herself up into a sitting position, shedding stray costume pieces. ]

[Hands his card over, then starts hanging up all these costumes.]

Anything on there you'd be cool with?

Oh, plenty, probably... would playing fetch be useful? Since you've got a lot of that row covered.

No, not at all! It's really just playing catch, isn't it?

[ she picks up a rubber ball from one of the bins of supplies. ]

I guess... go get it?

[ and she throws it in a gentle overhand. ]

[His tail starts wagging a little, excited.]

[And he's off!]

[ squinting after him. did he get it? was it too far? ]

[And, comes bounding back, holding the ball out to her.]
